Louisiana Material Sampling Services

McCreath has a very long history in New Orleans.  For 50 years, McCreath used a subcontractor for sampling before opening our own office in 2007.  New Orleans is our largest field office and is fully equipped to service our customer needs on the Mississippi River and beyond to Texas, Arkansas, and Alabama.  Our staff is experienced in working with the barge lines and various stevedoring groups to minimize delays in releasing barges thus preventing demurrage for our customers.  The main services provide by this office are:

• Barge Surveys
• Sampling
• Screen Test
• Inspection 
• Attendance of vessel discharge/loading

New Orleans is equipped with our mobile crushing units that allow most materials to be partially processed on site, increasing efficiency, maintaining sample integrity and reducing the amount of material taken off-site.  The mobile unit is also equipped to specifically process pig iron by on-site drilling, avoiding the need to transport hundreds of pounds of material away from the site for further processing.
